Every year I try to spend a day at the fair capturing the flavor of this year's county fair. Clay The fair always says AMERICA to me with all the hopes and dreams and incredible hard workers of all the small businesses that have their booths at the fair. Love it. And every kind of person and color and ride, and tent, and so may wonderful farm animals and all the kids so proud to show off their animals, farm machinery and celebration of the farmers that FEED this nation. Organized, planned chaos! A slice of America. The land I love and I want it back!

Riding by on my bike I realized there was a painting waiting to happen as I saw this old abandoned house that had surely been grand at one time. It needed a new coat of paint and some pennants in the sky and its yard to be once again filled with farm animals. Imagination is a marvelous thing, we can quickly put together the hopes and dreams of generations that have melted into the past. I love happy endings, and this is what I have created in this painting. Enjoy. Smile. Remember.
